This year we have the following Open Meetings:
- KWSC will host a Windward Leeward Open Meeting on the weekend of the 12th and 13th of April. All classes of boat are welcome.
- The KWSC endurance race, The Dam To Dam Challenge, will be held during the Windward Leeward Open Meeting. This endurance race exploits the full length of Kielder Water.
- The KWSC Open Meeting, sponsored by UBS Wealth Management, is a series of five races open to all classes of dinghy and catamaran. The 2008 Open Meeting is a Byte open meeting, and also the Osprey Scottish and Northern Championship. Classes with five or more entries will have their own start in addition to the slow handicap, fast handicap, assymetric and junior fleet starts. This years Open Meeting will be held on the weekend of the 6th and 7th of September.
- Our final open event of the season will be our annual travellers event for the Soling class, which will be held on the 4th and 5th of October.
Competitors in our Open Meetings are welcome to camp on the grass around the clubhouse and there will be an evening meal and a bar at the clubhouse on the Saturday night. You are welcome to arrive Friday evenings for a weekend event when there will be someone at the club after tea-time.
