How To ...
Hints and Tips.............
We have a specific page for sailing hints and tips where you might find what you want if it isn't here. Failing that you can always put a request for help on the club forum where someone will provide you with an answer, I am sure.
This page will help you with those things you want to do but don't know how to. If you want to see something specific on this page or have a suggestion please let us know.
I want to put a hyperlink in my forum message
so that when someone clicks on the link they go to that link directly in their browser.
In the bravenet window where you would normally type your message you need to put some 'commands' around the text you want to be the link. Command are enclosed in angled brackets - . So for example let's say you want to link to Yachts and Yachting's Home page with some text saying for example, "there is a great article here", then you would type this:
There is a great article
When you look on the forum message when it is posted it will then actually look like this:
There is a great article here
If you want to be really clever a small modification can make the link open in a new browser tab or window (depending on which browser you use). The end result looks the same on the forum but the command needs a little bit of modification to:
There is a great article here.
All you have done is added the bit target"=_blank" in the right part of the command.
